I am very grateful for my experience at this Medical Assistant school. The program is well-organized, hands-on, and truly prepares students for real healthcare settings. The instructors, especially Ms. Carey and Ms. Mo, & Ms. Marisha are incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and patient. They always take the time to guide us step by step until we fully understand each skill. I truly appreciate how they make learning easier and more engaging, combining both classroom instruction and hands-on practice. This approach helped me build confidence in essential skills such as taking vital signs, patient care, and administrative tasks. The environment is very encouraging and motivating, which made my learning experience even better. Overall, this school has exceeded my expectations and has given me a strong foundation for my future career in healthcare. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to become a Medical Assistant and pursue a meaningful career in the medical field. Read less

The reason I wanted to become a Medical Assistant is not only because I am pursuing a career in healthcare, but because I love helping people feel better, understanding them, and making them feel comfortable so they can live their lives to the best of their ability. One of the skills I have learned and enjoyed the most is drawing blood. It can be one of the most nerve-wracking experiences for any patient, myself included. Being able to comfort patients during that process makes me feel like I am doing my job right and learning the right way. My favorite part of the program is not only the hands-on experience, but also the connections you create in such a short amount of time. Everyone supports one another, which creates a positive and welcoming learning environment. This program has impacted my life by helping me discover new skills and confidence that I never knew I had. It has shown me that I am capable of learning and achieving more than I thought. I would definitely recommend this program to others. Everyone deserves the opportunity to learn new skills, gain confidence, and discover strengths they never knew they had. Read less

The reason I decided to become a Medical Assistant was so it could help me get the medical experience for my nursing career. This program has helped me a lot by teaching me the different duties that a MA performa as well as the processes to them. My favorite skill that I have learned during the program that I really did not expect it to be was drawing blood. My favorite part of the program is the hands-on experience we learn from our instructors. I would recommend this program to a friend or family member that would like to become an MA for the reasons that the instructors teach you properly and with patience as well as giving the students a chance at doing these procedures hands-on as mentioned. Which I believe most places don’t do until you do your own externship. Read less

There was a morning that our class received an email from our Student Advisor regarding a makeup class day due to the inclement weather closure. The makeup class was scheduled for Sunday, the very next day. Not only was our regularly scheduled class set for Valentines Day, but our makeup class is set for the following day, for the same timeframe, with clearly less than a week's notice. This left many of us in a bind with family obligations hanging in the balance, transportation to the clinic, church obligations, childcare obligations, work schedules, and travel obligations, plus some students had scheduled exams at neighboring universities. It was pretty stressful, and trying to reach our Advisor was really tough! S lot of us felt very frustrated and irritated with our Advisor and the lack of communication. So, I had decided that I wasn't going to be attending the required makeup day that Sunday, given that I wasn't going to drive over an hour to and from the clinic, on back-to-back days. I explained this to my Instructor and sent an email in to my Advisor and Admissions with the explanation. The following Monday, I received calls and emails with understanding and offers of assistance if I had questions with less than 1 month to graduate. I was met with apologies and honesty about why I was unable to reach my assigned Advisor, and to me, that spoke pretty highly about how Zollege operates. They tried really hard to make sure that I was taken care of by letting me know my grievances were heard and understood, that there had been a turnover in faculty, and that I had their full support should I need to reach out again. I have said it many times before, if you're ever on the fence about a program, I'd suggest this one. You'll have a hard time finding a better schedule for work/life/school balance, hands-on experience, student-to-instructor ratio in the course, and you'll make some great connections along the way. Although I still received an absence mark for that day, I still felt properly prepared for my exam thanks to my amazing instructor Wendy Sullivan. Read less
