The instructors at this medical assistant school in Dallas are truly excellent. They are very knowledgeable and clearly experienced in what they do. The program is not easy, but they make learning enjoyable and engaging. They take the time to explain everything in a way that makes it easier to understand, and they really care about their students’ success. On top of that, the program is very affordable, which made it even more accessible for me. I’m grateful for the knowledge and support I received here and would definitely recommend this school to anyone interested in becoming a medical assistant. Read less

Best Decision I’ve Made for My Healthcare Career Enrolling in this medical assistant program genuinely changed the direction of my life. From day one, the instructors made it clear they were invested in your success — not just getting you through the coursework, but actually preparing you for what it’s like to work in a real clinical setting. The curriculum strikes the right balance between classroom learning and hands-on practice. We covered everything from taking vitals and EKGs to medical terminology, insurance, and patient communication. Nothing felt like filler every unit had a clear purpose and tied back to real-world situations you’ll face on the job. What stood out most was how approachable the staff were. You never felt like just a student ID number. Questions were always welcomed, and if you were struggling, there was real support available not just a generic tutoring email. By the time I finished and started externship, I felt confident and ready. My externship site actually commented on how prepared I was compared to students from other programs. That says a lot. If you’re considering a career in healthcare and want a program that takes both the clinical and administrative sides seriously, this is a great place to start. Highly recommend. Read less

I graduated from DMAS in October of 2025, Mrs. Tiffany was my instructor at the Mckinney location and I truly couldn’t have gotten more lucky to have her. She brought a tremendous amount of light, laughter, and most importantly extensive knowledge to our class every single day. She was always there to support and give us that extra push when we needed it, she’s amazing at guiding you through your fear and discomfort. The school provides an amazing amount of information that doesn’t make you feel overloaded or flustered, and is easy to understand. You learn everything you need in 18 weeks and by exam time, you’re prepared and comfortable to test, my class passed our first go! I am now lead MA under my provider only 5 months post graduation, and have received many compliments on my skills as an CCMA. I truly couldn’t have done it without Mrs.T and DMAS! Read less

DMAS has the BEST instructors! I don’t know what I would have done without my instructors, Miss C and Miss Tammy at the Irving location. They pushed me to be out my comfort zone and taught me everything I needed to know going into the Medical Assistant Field. I was able to complete my externship, passed my CCMA exam and get a job soon after. The program is worth the price and more. If you’re thinking about it, just do it! You won’t regret it and more opportunities await at the end. Read less

Frequently Asked Questions

We don't accept financial aid, but we have some pretty great reasons why! The founder of our school, Dr. Ince, wanted to create an opportunity for those who desire to enter the field. He believed that students deserve not only a great education but also an affordable and convenient option. Rather than making our school more expensive in order to allow for financial assistance, Dr. Ince chose to keep tuition affordable, giving our students the opportunity to graduate with little to no student loan debt. If none of our payment plan options work for you, please give us a call. We are more than happy to customize a plan!

Yes, you can pay by check. Checks must be sent two weeks before your start date, and you must call our admissions team to provide a tracking number. They should be addressed to Zollege Management Inc., 7701 N. Lamar Blvd, Suite 300, Austin, TX 78752.

The time it takes to become a Medical Assistant varies between schools and certification programs. Our curriculum is 18-weeks long and fully prepares students to start working as a medical assistant.

Dallas Medical Assistant School is a hands-on learning program. We take a different approach from traditional education. Our classes take place in a medical office rather than a classroom, with a hands-on component to every part of our course. Classes begin with a lecture and discussion, but most of the class time is spent in labs learning the essential techniques of medical assisting. When our students graduate and begin their career, they feel at home in a medical office.

As a newly hired Medical Assistant, your employer will expect you to know the basic skills of medical assisting. Those fundamental skills are exactly what we focus on teaching our students. Our custom-designed curriculum sets students up for success by covering precisely what doctors will expect them to know.

When you graduate from any medical assisting school you receive a certificate of completion. Many students ask if they can expect to make a higher starting salary if they attend a longer program. The starting salary for a Medical Assistant does not depend on how long you spent in school or how much you paid for your schooling.

Medical Assistants perform a variety of duties, including but not limited to assisting the doctor, carrying out clinical tasks, and completing administrative work.

Medical assistants may perform many different clinical duties including taking and recording vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and drawing blood. Administrative tasks are equally important in the medical assisting field; medical assistants are also in charge of scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, working with insurance files, and billing.

Assistants are responsible for making patients feel at ease while also preparing them for treatment. During medical visits, assistants often work alongside the doctor.

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), employment of medical assistants is projected to grow 12 percent from 2024 to 2034, much faster than the average for all occupations. For more information, please visit the Bureau of Labor Statistics website.

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the median annual wage for medical assistants was $44,200 as of May 2024. For more information, please visit the Bureau of Labor Statistics website.

Benefits vary by practice and should be discussed with the hiring practice.
