My time at the Dallas School of Medical Assistants (run through Zollege) was a great learning experience overall! Saturdays quickly became the highlight of my week. I had the chance to connect with my classmates and instructors (who were terrific - I genuinely miss them so, so much!). The in-person instruction was thorough, hands-on, and incredibly valuable. Everything I learned in class has directly translated to my current job in the field. While the instructors truly shine, Zollege’s online structure and communication leave much to be desired. Despite having a set course schedule, things became disorganized very quickly. My class dealt with unclear deadlines, difficulty accessing key resources (like the NHA portal), and a lack of support from the online staff and academic advising team. It often felt like we were left to figure things out independently. Our class may have had a uniquely rocky experience, so don’t let that entirely deter you if you’re considering this path. Just be prepared to advocate for yourself and rely on the in-person instructors. They’re the heart of the program and always go above and beyond for us. Truly a blessing. This would be an easy five-star program if Zollege can tighten up its administrative and online support. Read less

This course was easily accessible and well organized! I cannot say enough good things about my instructors. Rachel and Nick have been so patient with me and my class. I was so nervous going in but they have supported me and cheered me in every step of the way. They make every class a fun learning environment. They genuinely care to see us all succeed and grow. For the first time I can say I enjoy going to school! I have absolutely loved this program and will recommend it to everyone! If you are thinking about joining, DO IT! Read less

Everything was hands on and we always had a chance to ask questions to get a better understanding on the subject. I would recommend this school to everyone! The instructors were very personable. They even check up on us to this day. Even though you are not promised a job after the course they do everything they can to assist you with finding one Read less

Frequently Asked Questions

We don't accept financial aid, but we have some pretty great reasons why! The founder of our school, Dr. Ince, decided that he wanted to create an amazing opportunity for those who desire to enter the field. He believed that students not only deserve a great education, but also an affordable and convenient option. Rather than opting to make our school more expensive in order to allow for financial assistance, Dr. Ince chose to implement affordable tuition prices; providing our students with the opportunity to graduate with little to no student loan debt. If none of our payment plan options work for you, please give us a call. We are more than happy to customize a plan!

Yes, you can pay by check. Checks must be sent two weeks before your start date, and you must call our admissions team to provide a tracking number. They should be addressed to Zollege Management Inc., 715 Discovery Blvd. Suite 412, Cedar Park, TX, 78613.

The time it takes to become a Medical Assistant varies between schools and certification programs. Our curriculum is 18-weeks long and fully prepares students to start working as a medical assistant.

The Dallas Medical Assistant School is a 'hands-on learning program.' We take a different approach from traditional education. Our classes take place in a medical office rather than a classroom. There is a hands-on component to every part of our course. Our classes begin with a lecture/class discussion, but the majority of the class time is spent in labs learning the essential techniques of Medical Assisting. When our students graduate and begin their career, they are at home in a medical office.

As a newly hired Medical Assistant, your employer will have an expectation that you will know the basic skills of Medical Assisting. It's those fundamental skills that we focus on teaching our students. Our custom designed curriculum sets students up for success in knowing exactly what doctors will expect them to know.

When you graduate from any medical assisting school you receive a certificate of completion. Many students ask if they can expect to make a higher starting salary if they attend a longer program. The starting salary for a Medical Assistant does not have anything to do with how long you spent in school or how much you paid for your schooling.

Medical Assistants perform a variety of duties, including but not limited to assisting the doctor, carrying out clinical tasks, and completing administrative work.
Medical assistants may perform many different clinical duties including taking and recording vital signs, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, etc. Administrative tasks are as equally important in the medical assisting field and medical assistants are also in charge of scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, working with insurance files, and billing.
Assistants are responsible for making patients feel at ease while also preparing them for treatment. During medical visits, assistants often work alongside the doctor.

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), employment of medical assistants is projected to grow 29 percent from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations. For more information, please visit Bureau of Labor Statistics website..

The median annual wage for medical assistants was $42,000 in May 2023. For more information, please visit Bureau of Labor Statistics website.

Benefits vary by practice and should be discussed with the hiring practice.
